Kate Fox appointed Associate artist at ARC for Lit Up 2009/10

Each associate artist is attached to one of the member venues of the Live Literature Consortium and will work in partnership with their associate venue to create, produce and present a new piece of spoken word.

The Associate Artists and their venues are:

Steven Camden aka Polar Bear will be working with The Albany
Maxwell Golden will be working with The Albany and Merlin
Kate Fox will be working with ARC
Kirstie Pelling will be working with The Brewery
Yusra Warsama will be working with Contact
Justin Coe will be working with The Gulbenkian
Charlie Jordan will be working with mac
Steve Tasane will be working with Norden Farm Centre for the Arts

Annabel Turpin, co-chair of the LLC, said, “We are delighted to be able to offer artists this creative space. We hope the result will be eight exciting and distinctive pieces of live literature. One of our aims with Lit Up 2009/10 is to increase the amount of high quality live literature available for venues. We believe that work developed through these partnerships between the eight LLC venues and selected eight artists will be of a high quality, so that venues can have faith in it and audiences can delight in it.”
