Workshop: The Writer as Anti-hero

Jean Genet wrote: “Crimes of which a people are ashamed constitute its real history. The same is true of man.” Is there anything a writer shouldn’t write about? Everyone has to work out their boundaries, and in this workshop you will be encouraged to challenge your own taboos and sacred cows in a supportive environment. This is not therapy – the emphasis will be on exploring why we write and the limits we set on art. For prose-writers and poets of all levels of experience, from beginners to masters level.

Workshop: 1.30pm-3.30pm in Room 614, University of Teesside Main Tower. Free to litsoc members, £2 to non-members

Presented by Creative Writing at The University of Teesside and The Livelit Soc. Both events open to students and the general public.
